CCT: The Carpet Cleaning Technician course teaches the fundamentals of carpet cleaning. Topics include fiber types and characteristics, fiber identification, carpet construction and styles, dyeing at the mill, soil characteristics and the chemistry of cleaning. This course will also train the technician in the 5 methods commonly used in carpet cleaning.

UFT: The Upholstery & Fabric Cleaning Technician course covers upholstery fiber categories, fiber identification and testing, manufacturing of the fiber & fabric, chemistry of cleaning, upholstery cleaning methods, protections, spotting and potential problems. This will allow the technician to have a specific knowledge about fabric and fiber content, as well as furniture construction. This enables technicians to identify limitations and potential cleaning related problems, on a given piece of upholstery.

OCT: The Odor Control Technician course covers olfaction and odor, odor sources, detection process, theory of odor control, equipment, chemical options and applications. The technician will learn how to address odors caused from biological sources such as decomposition, urine contamination, and mold, combustion sources such as fire and smoke damage, and chemical sources such as fuel oil spills or volatile organic chemicals.

CRT: The Color Repair Technician course addresses the history of color, color theory, natural and synthetic dyes, dye methods, types of dyes, types of fibers, carpet styles and dye procedures. Other topics covered include color related cleaning issues such as fading, color loss due to contamination or bleaching, and the use of cleaning agents that may affect or remove color from carpet.

RRT: The Carpet Repair and Reinstallation Technician course teaches techniques and safety issues related to carpet repair and re-installation, carpet construction, inspection process prior to cleaning, tools of the trade, floor preparation, adhesives, carpet cushion installation, tackless strip and moldings, seaming, and proper stretching. This class also teaches various repairs that the carpet cleaner/restorer may come up against while dealing with an installed textile. This knowledge will enable the technician to recognize and avoid installation problems that may arise while performing carpet cleaning as well as how to correct many issues encountered.

WRT: The Water Damage Restoration Technician course is designed to teach restoration personnel that perform remediation work to give them a better concept of water damage, it’s effects and techniques for drying of structures. This course will give residential and commercial maintenance personnel the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination such as mold.

ASD: The Applied Structural Drying courses covers the effective, efficient and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents, using comprehensive classroom and hands-on training, in order to facilitate appropriate decision-making within a restorative drying environment. Technicians will experience live hands on use of instruments, extraction systems, drying equipment, and chemistry use in an actual flooded building situation.

AMRT: The Applied Microbial Remediation Technician course covers mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals engaged in property restoration, IEQ investigations or other related professions. Emphasis will be placed on teaching mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals who will perform these procedures in the field. Course graduates will be adequately equipped to perform remediation services, while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants.

LCT: The Leather Cleaning Technician course addresses leather identification and cleaning techniques for professional on-location cleaners, restoration and inspection service providers, as well as other related industries. Emphasis shall be placed on theory, practical application, proper identification of leather types, soiling conditions and proper professional solutions to the cleaning challenges faced by the individuals performing the work in the field.

SMT: The Stone, Masonry, & Tile Care Technician course provides precise information for the proper maintenance and cleaning of natural and man-made (cultured) stone, ceramic tile, masonry, and grout surfaces. Technicians will learn the theory behind and reasons for proper tools, chemicals and equipment. Emphasis will be placed on protecting surfaces, technicians and building occupants. Technicians completing the course will be adequately equipped to perform maintenance-related tasks involving stone, masonry and ceramic tile surfaces.

SRT: The Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician course concentrates on technical procedure for successfully completing the restoration of a fire and smoke damaged environment. Technicians will learn how to combine technical procedures with a practical approach to managing the job site and how that relates to pricing the job.

HST: The Health & Safety Technician or an equivalent OSHA approved course is a must for anyone performing restoration or mold remediation! This course is provided to increase safety in your workplace and reduce your company’s risk of costly fines and penalties. it is also designed to put you ahead in the restoration industry to show insurance companies you and your staff is ahead of the competition regarding health and safety. Topics to be covered are: OSHA standards, Inspections, Citations and Penalties, Record keeping, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication, Hazardous Materials, Confined Spaces, and Blood-born Pathogens.

IICRC Advanced Designations
Twelve (12) months active service in the industry after original certification date, plus attainment of specific designations as listed below.
* Certification in(CCT or CCMT) and UFT and either (OCT, CRT or RRT)

Twelve (12) months active service in the industry after original certification date plus attainment of specific categories as listed below.
* Certification in UFT, OCT and FSRT

Twelve (12) months active service in the industry after original certification date plus attainment of specific categories as listed below.
* Certification in (CCT or CCMT), WRT and RRT

A minimum of three (3) years after original certification date plus attainment of specific certifications as listed below.

I’d like to take a second to let you know that George really came through for me regarding an emergency situation that I had at St. James Place today. Although the problem I had did not concern any work that he or Advanced Restoration had done, he made a call and had the problem solved before any of the other contractors that I had originally called had called me back. I write this to document my continued and complete satisfaction with the staff and services at Advanced Restoration Services, Inc. (ARSI). Each time I must utilize your services it is not for a “fun” reason – disasters never are. What I have found, though is that the disasters you all respond to are handled in a most professional and thorough manner.

With most contractors it’s difficult to get to the details, whether due to the contractor being busy, or being understaffed or just not willing to spend the time and expend the effort. I did not find that to be the case with ARSI. In fact, I have several points of contact within your organization that can answer the simplest of questions or can research the most difficult. From the young ladies who answer the phone to the owners of the company I have always found a friendly and attentive ear.

The website that you use to document your findings and repairs is top notch. Every bit of information that could be dreamed of is contained on the password protected site. I can allow unit owners to follow along with the repairs to their units, can update insurance agents in the same manner and have all of the documentation available to me 24 hours per day. This is priceless and not something that I have found with others.

I must admit that I was nervous in hiring ARSI the first time, as I thought the costs would be much higher than local contractors. What I found was the opposite. Pricing is handled up front and is detailed to allow for careful consideration. The rates were fantastic, to my surprise. The work that followed was exceptional and was completed in a very reasonable amount of time.

Thank you for the excellent and timely job you did after the recent storm that damaged our dance school building! In four days, we had severe wind and an all-time record 9 inches of rainfall in the heaviest rainy November in local history.

The damage to our roof, ceilings and wood floors from the wind driven rain was catastrophic. Your team hit the ground running, removed the wet ceiling material and damaged floors, and dried the carpets in record time. Restoration is complete and the place looks better than it did before the storm.

The most important thing is that we did not lose one day in operation because your crews were able to work overnight and during our down time.
